Genealogical meeting 2016

Many of our members have expressed interest in looking for information about their roots and details about their families which many did not receive from their parents. The skills are important for all of us and certainly to those who are planning roots trips to the area of
Drohobycz and Boryslaw

On 20 September we held a class for the 23 interested participants at Beit Wohlin, Givatayim on genealogy research tools. Our member Lea Kupferman explained and demonstrated extensively through her personal story, how to research and find genealogical information.

As often happens at these meetings, participants discovered and met cousins and mutual friends from within the group which added much excitement and emotion to the evening.

Thanks to Leah Kupferman for sharing her impressive knowledge, to Dave Bloom who photographed and documented the evening, to Dvora Ben Moshe Shoham for helping with the administration, to Hava Demszak for her technical assistance and above all to Ronit Alperin who initiated and organized this important and fascinating meeting.
