Backenrot-Berliner

Lotte Backenrot was born in Schodnica.

In 1933 she emigrated to Israel and married Shabtai Chaim Yehezkel whose only son, Baruch was born.

Baruch has Ph.D. in math. He worked for an insurance company in Switzerland and as a senior researcher at the Tel Aviv University. He is a violin player, and at the age of sixty began composing symphonies. His compositions, including "The Creation of the World" and "Abraham our Father" are being played in Israel and around the world.

Baruch also writes poetry in Hebrew and German. He has four children.
